Job Description:

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

• Monitoring Mainframe Console and taking appropriate actions on WTOR
• Spool Management
• Handling hardware Alerts
• Performing IPL
• Review job logs, MVS logs, etc to assist in research for problem resolution
• Monitor production batch processing via scheduling software CA-ESP and SDSF
• Research and respond to batch processing delays and escalate as needed
• Handle Ad Hoc Requests
• Monitor multiple automated scheduling packages, follow established escalation
• procedures Reporting any delays or problems to the Shift lead or Manager

Required Technical Skill Set:

• Mainframe MVS, Operations Support, IPL, Batch, CA-ESP
• Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have: 

• MVS, JES2, JCL, Batch monitoring and processing

Good-to-Have: 

• ServiceNow, ITIL, Excellent Communication skills
