The Indian Council of Medical Research - National Institute for Research in Reproductive and Child Health (ICMR-NIRRCH) invites applications for the post of Consultant (Hindi) on a contractual basis at ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai. The appointment is initially for one year, extendable based on performance and institutional requirements.

As per the ICMR-NIRRCH Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates who are retired personnel from Central Government/Central Autonomous Bodies/CPSUs with at least 15 years of experience in Rajbhasha (Hindi)-related work in Pay Level-7 or above are eligible to apply. Applicants must also have a Master's degree in Hindi or English with relevant subjects at the undergraduate level.

The selection for the Consultant (Hindi) post will be based on a personal interview.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly consolidated remuneration of up to ₹50,000.

Educational Qualifications

• Essential Qualification:
  • Retired personnel from Central Government, Central Autonomous Bodies, or CPSUs with at least 15 years of experience in Rajbhasha (Hindi)-related work in Pay Level-7 or above.
  • Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject at the undergraduate level OR Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject at the undergraduate level.
• Desirable Qualification:
  • Full knowledge of the Official Language Policy of India and related rules.
  • Proficiency in translation, typing, and the use of computers, the internet, and email.

Age Limit

• Not exceeding 64 years as of the last date of application.

Job Location & Contract Duration

• Work Location: ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai.
• Contract Duration: Initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Official Language Policy of the Government of India.
• Prepare quarterly Hindi reports of the Institute.
• Translate the Annual Report of the Institute into Hindi.
• Prepare reports on the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language.
• Translate forms, circulars, manuals, and other official documents between Hindi and English.
• Prepare official letters, office orders, and notes in Hindi using computers.
• Assist the Hindi Committee in various activities related to Hindi implementation.
• Organize Hindi training programs and workshops.
• Assist in the implementation of the Official Language Policy.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Competent Authority.
