Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for support of Automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
- Responsive for building a new Operating System for Red hat, Centos.
- Responsible for migrating OS from lower version to higher.
- Responsible for complex troubleshooting and data copy during migration.
- Responsible for administration, design, configuration and monitoring of Linux servers (Red Hat 6 and higher, Centos 7).
- Extensive knowledge and experience on architecture of multiple Linux Flavours.
- Responsible for Automated Patch Management and Upgrade on Red Hat, Centos, Suse, Ubuntu.
- Responsible for providing support on clustering software (Veritas Cluster, Red hat Cluster) on Linux Systems.
- Responsible for network services, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, NFS, etc.
- Works closely with development and BI team to assist with system performance and capacity planning.
- Responsible for creating, maintaining and executing disaster recovery and high availability plans.
- Responds to systems alerts, investigates and resolves related system failures, and recovers/restores failed systems and applications.
- Acts as an escalation point.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and file deliveries.
- Preparing SOP documents.
