Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) is an autonomous academic national institution of the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.

In the latest job notification, IIA announces job vacancies for project staff posts on a temporary basis for a project titled “Superflares on stars and sun” on a temporary basis, in reference to Advt. No.IIA/16/2019.

Under IIA Research Associate Recruitment 2019, candidates completed PH.D. in relevant subjects can apply.

On the basis of interview performance, an applicant for the desired post will be finalized on merit.

The selected candidate will be recruited for a period of one or more years, with salary pay Rs. 38,800 per month.

An Interested and qualified candidate has to walk-in on announced date and venue.

The candidate's maximum age limit should be 32 years.

Education Qualification:

Ph.D. in Physics in the area of Solar Physics. Candidates who have submitted their thesis in a reputed university may be considered for interview + Excellent skills in computer programming for data analysis on the UNIX platform. Proficiency in using IDL Software for data handling and analysis for research in Solar Physics with few referred publications is essential.
