ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), New Delhi, invites applications for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under a DST-funded project on a contractual basis at the Division of Genetics.

As per the IARI Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a postgraduate degree or a professional degree are eligible to apply.

The selection will be based on shortlisting followed by an online interview. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email.

The selected candidate will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs.37,000 + 24% HRA.

Educational Qualifications

• Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course.
• Selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET, GATE) or National Level Examinations conducted by government agencies such as DST, DBT, ICMR, ICAR, etc.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in plant breeding trials and research.
• Familiarity with handling field crops, crossing techniques, and wheat breeding.

Age Limit

• Maximum 35 years (Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/Women and 3 years for OBC).

Duration of Employment

• Initially for one year or until the project’s completion, whichever is earlier.

Salary Details

• ₹37,000 per month + 24% HRA.
