Punjab & Sind Bank (PSB), Zonal Office Chandigarh, invites applications for the position of Medical Consultant on a contractual basis. The appointment is for an initial term of two years, extendable based on performance.

As per the PSB Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with an M.D./MBBS/BHMS in relevant fields are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to M.D. candidates and doctors currently or previously empaneled with PSUs/Banks.

The selection process for the Medical Consultant post will involve scrutiny of applications, shortlisting, and an interview, followed by final selection via email communication.

The selected candidate will receive a remuneration of ₹800 per hour, with a work schedule of 8 hours per week (visiting days will be decided as per staff convenience).

Educational Qualifications

• Option A: M.D. in General Medicine (MCI-recognized) with 5+ years of post-M.D. experience.
• Option B: MBBS/BHMS with 7+ years of post-qualification experience as a registered practitioner.

Preference

• M.D. candidates.
• Doctors empaneled with PSUs/Banks (current/previous).

Work Schedule & Contract Period

• Working Hours: 8 hours per week.
• Contract Duration: Initial 2-year term, extendable by another 2 years based on performance review.

Termination Policy

• Requires 2 months' notice from either side.
• Immediate termination if arrested, detained, or facing criminal charges.
