Responsibilities:

• Understand the Payments industry and where Visa Direct fits in the ecosystem
• Understand the business initiatives and their importance to the growth of Visa Direct.
• Develop a good understanding of the Visa Direct technology platform.
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to define test scenarios and write good functional end-to-end tests.
• Question and think outside of acceptance criteria to identify exception scenarios, error states, etc.
• Be accountable for quality of software and defect management lifecycle. Attend to details and consistently exhibit a strong sense of ownership.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively within the team as well as across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to identify and manage risks at all stages of the project.
• Adherence to practices such as test coverage, open defect counts, continuous integration, code reviews, code quality and shift left practices.
• Stay up to date with new testing approaches, tools, technologies, and test strategies.
• Drive improvements in processes and frameworks across the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of Quality Assurance Experience.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Experience in Rest API testing, performance testing basics and security/authentication.
• Proficiency in Java 8+ (Core Java, Collection Framework, JDBC, Functional Programming).
• Experience with automation testing tools such as RestAssured, TestNG, JSON and XML Parsers, Jenkins, Cucumber and Github.
• Creating and maintaining automated tests using selenium
• Proficiency in usage of SQL queries and creating stored procedures.
• Ability to lead demos at the end of the sprint.
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter/LoadRunner and security testing is a plus.
• Knowledge on containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Kafka and cloud-based application architecture and principles is a plus
