The Assam Public Service Commission, a state recruitment body appointed to recruit staff for Assam state govt. administrative needs and for various departments.

On 30th Oct. 2017, released a APSC Recruitment 2017 Junior Administrative Assistant Post advertisement to fill 12 vacancies.

Followed by two phases of exam, involving Phase-1: Written Test & Phase-2: Computer Test & Interview. Applicants will be selected for the Junior Administrative Assistant Posts on merit-basis, with pay scale of Rs.14,000 - Rs.49, 000 p.m.

Name Of The Posts: Junior Administrative Assistant

Age Limit: Candidates with minimum age of 18 years and maximum 43 years as of on 01.01.2017, were applicable to apply for the post.

As for candidates from reserved category for SC/ST candidates’ age relaxation of upto 5 years is applicable.

Note: Pronounced age limit date 01.01.2017 will be considered only on the basis of the Matriculation/ HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate issued by a recognized Board/Council.

Education Qualification:

Basic Qualification:

Applicant from General & OBC category should have minimum 45% marks in Graduate degree in any discipline (Arts, Science and Commerce).

As for SC/ST candidates the minimum percentage they should score 40% in their graduate degree of same discipline listed above.

Preferred Qualification:

Candidate should have working knowledge of MS office tools such as word processor, spread sheet, presentation graphics, and concept of database, internet and email.

Selection Process:  Appointment of final candidate for the Junior Administrative Assistant post considered on merit-basis determined from scores from Written Test, Computer Practical Test and Viva-voce/interview, which will be held in two phases.
