In a latest Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment 2017 announcement from India Post, a leading postal service provider in the country, has come out with new notification to fill 6507 Gramin Dak Sevak Vacancies in two India's Postal Circles – Kerala & Uttar Pradesh.
Under Uttar Pradesh postal circle total vacancies of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) 5314 posts announced and in Kerala postal circle the number of GDS vacancies is 1193.

Name Of The Posts: Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS)
Age Limit: Candidate applying for the GDS post should have age of between 18 and 40 years as on 30.10.2017. And age relaxation of upto 10 years is applicable for candidates from reserved categories SC/ST & OBC and PH applicants.
Basic Qualification: Applicants should pass 10th class and candidates who passed in first attempt will be considered as meritorious and would given advantage during selection.
Preferred Qualification: The candidate should have computer knowledge and will be required to furnish basic computer training certificate for at least 60 days from a recognized Computer Training Institute. Certificates from Central Government/ State Government/ University/ Boards etc., will also be acceptable for this purpose.
For Gramin Dak Sevak post, candidates from General category and male candidates from OBC category have to application fee of Rs 100. And candidates from SC/ST/PH category and Female applicants are exempted from paying fee.
