Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, invites applications for the post of Young Professional (YP) on a contract basis for two years. The engagement will be at the Northern Regional Office, Chandigarh.

As per the BIS Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a regular graduation in Science, Engineering, BE, or B.Tech and an MBA from a recognized university are eligible to apply.

The selection for the Young Professional post will be based on shortlisting of applications followed by practical assessment, written assessment, technical knowledge assessment, and an interview.

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.70,000, fixed for two years.

Educational Qualifications

• Essential Qualification:
  • Regular Graduation in Science, Engineering, BE, or B.Tech from a recognized university.
  • Regular MBA or equivalent in Marketing, Sales, Retail Management, Logistics and Supply Management, or Operations Management.
  • Minimum 60% marks in all qualifying degrees.
• Desirable Qualification:
  • At least two years of experience in Marketing or equivalent fields.
  • Preferably conversant with Management System Certification (MSC).

Age Limit

• Below 35 years as of 09-02-2025.

Job Location & Tenure

• Posting Location: BIS, Northern Regional Office, Chandigarh.
• Contract Duration: Two years.

Pay Scale

• Rs.70,000 per month (fixed for two years).
