The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) invites online applications for the positions of Professors and Associate Professors in various academic departments. The recruitment will be conducted through the CU Chayan Portal, and the positions are available on a regular or lien vacancy basis.

As per the CUK Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a Ph.D. in relevant disciplines and necessary teaching or research experience are eligible to apply.

The selection process will be based on an evaluation of academic and research credentials, followed by an interview.

The selected candidates will receive a salary as per the 7th Pay Commission guidelines (Professors: Level 14 and Associate Professors: Level 13A)

Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications through the CU Chayan Portal before 22-03-2025 (11:59 PM). A hard copy of the application along with required enclosures must be received by the university by 01-04-2025 (5:30 PM).

Eligibility Criteria for CUK Professors & Associate Professors Posts:

Total Vacancies: 7

• Professor: 5 Posts
• Associate Professor: 2 Posts

Name of the Posts:

• Professor – Various Departments (5 Posts)
• Associate Professor – Various Departments (2 Posts)

Educational Qualifications:

Professor:

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• A total research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations.
• At least 10 years of experience in teaching or research at the university/national level, with evidence of successful doctoral candidate supervision.

OR

• An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline from academia or industry.
• A significant contribution to the field with documentary evidence.
• Minimum 10 years of experience.

Associate Professor:

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• Master’s degree with at least 55% marks.
• Minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience at a university or research institution.
• At least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
• A total research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations.

Age Limits:

The age criteria will be as per UGC/MoE/GoI norms.

Application Fee:

• UR/OBC/EWS: ₹2,500
• SC/ST: ₹1,000
• PWD/Women: Exempted
