Job Role/ Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Work closely with the seniors and implement technical solutions meeting business requirements
• Liaise with senior technical staff to explore and suggest strategic technical solutions
• Take responsibility for comprehensive unit and functional test coverage to ensure code quality
• Code with future-proofing.
• Monitor work against the production schedule and produce progress updates, resolve issues or technical difficulties on a regular basis
• Be responsible for work quality and process, ensuring it meets the technical standards.
• Works on incidents and fixes them
• Prepares and help new team members onto the team with help from team lead
• Carry out enhancement and code fixes
• Update KEDB
• Do batch support

Job Description:

• Works independently under limited supervision and applies knowledge of the subject matter in Applications Development.
• Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues, challenges within field of specialization to develop simple applications solutions.
• Second-level professional with direct impact on results and outcome.

Required skills:

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech/M.C.A or equivalent degree with 3 – 5 years of experience in building rich internet applications using Java FX
• Last 2 years working in JavaFX programming is highly desirable.
• Strong Object Oriented skills, including an understanding of common object and web application design patterns
• Hands-on experience in implementing design patterns in Java
• Strong working knowledge of Core Java (Java 8 preferred), REST APIs like Java API for RESTful Web Services (i.e. JAX-RS, Spring, SparkJava)
• Hands-on experience with Logging (Log4j), and Unit Testing using JUnit / TestNG using Mocking frameworks such as Mockito, EasyMock, RestAssured.
• Experience working with SQL Queries and database servers like MSSQL Server, Oracle, MySQL.
• Must have experience in working with version control systems like GIT, SVN, etc. and build tools like Gradle and Maven.
• Experience in software development with continuous integration and delivery.
• Having good code review skills and an understanding of clean code and design.
• Having experience working with agile and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of different web servers like Tomcat and Jetty.
• Good communication skills.
• A Self-starter with the ability and drive to take requirements for completion.

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge on Continuous Integration & Deployment process using Bamboo and /or Jenkins
• Knowledge in Agile / Scrum methodology and planning tool like JIRA
• Experience working with enterprise applications using Spring and Hibernate.
• Should be able to guide junior members of the team in best practices.
• Experience in Database Kernel, Query Optimizer, and Database Applications.
• Exposure to front-end design and development and usability best practices.
