Responsibility:

• Proven experience with designing & planning, migrations, implementations, administration, upgrades and troubleshooting of the Firewall technologies/solutions in a multi-site commercial environment.
• Firewall Engineers install, configure, manage, and fix Firewalls.
• Maintain and manage border security systems, such as intrusion detection systems and firewalls.
• Support, monitor, and take care of existing configuration changes for Firewall Networks.
• The technical personal are conversant with procedures, such as change management, automation, and revision control.
• They aid in fixing network security issues of clients, suggest recommendations after researching best industry practices, creating documents for its configuration and installation.
• Must have performed migration of Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortinet etc. firewalls to Firewall on a large scale.
• Understanding of migration tools and scripts to perform firewall migrations.
• Engineers are also responsible for installing and maintaining Firewall technologies.
• Participation in project status calls, discussion with stakeholders on the deployment of Firewall activities.
• Firewall Network Engineers must have understanding of MPLS, VRF, VPN, and network routing. They should possess expertise in TCP/IP.
• Engineers suggest, schedule, and conduct hardware and software enhancements, upgrades, reconfigurations, and patches. They coordinate with engineering and business units to deploy implement server systems that use best practices to meet the objectives of their organization/clients.
• Engineers research network services, products, protocols, and requirements to remain up-to-date with advances in the networking industry. They create and maintain documentation of network procedures, configurations, cabling layouts, and standards.
• Respond to and manage service issues and problems.
• Responsible for awareness and compliance to policy and guidelines of the ISMS.

Required Skills:

• Candidate must have hands on experience in solution designing and deploying Firewall solution on a large scale.
• Should have performed POC on-Prem and cloud environment for multiple service providers for Firewall.
• Must have good understanding of project plan, migration activities and capable of performing UAT.
• Interact with different stakeholders to understand the deployment requirements and accordingly propose the necessary solution.
• Able to coordinate and work with on-site engineers during deployment activity of firewall services.
• Must have good understanding of Firewall products including Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortinet etc. deployed on-Prem and on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to easily analyze and communicate complex ideas to all levels of management.

Qualifications:

• BE in Computer Science/IT
• Certified Ethical Hacker
• Professional certifications are preferred, including:
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
• Experience on cloud based firewalls, security groups
• Any other firewall certifications
• CCNA Certified
• CISSP Certified (good to have)
