The Forest Survey of India (FSI), under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, invites applications for Superintendent, Senior Draftsman, Stenographer Grade-I, and Upper Division Clerk positions on a deputation basis at its headquarters in Dehradun and regional offices across India. The appointments will be made under the General Central Service, Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted) and Group ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted, Ministerial) categories.
As per the FSI Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates currently serving in Central Government, State Governments, or Union Territories in analogous posts or meeting the required experience criteria are eligible to apply.
The selection process for the mentioned posts will be conducted based on merit, determined through an evaluation of eligibility, experience, and relevant service records.
The selected candidates will be entitled to a deputation duty allowance as per the Government of India norms.
Interested and eligible candidates must submit their application forms in triplicate, along with ACR/APAR dossiers for the last five years, to the Director General, Forest Survey of India, Dehradun, before the deadline.

- Superintendent (Group-B, Non-Gazetted): 10 Posts
- Senior Draftsman (Group-B, Non-Gazetted): 2 Posts
- Stenographer Grade-I (Group-B, Non-Gazetted): 5 Posts
- Upper Division Clerk (Group-C, Ministerial): 3 Posts
Educational Qualifications & Experience
Superintendent (Group-B, Non-Gazetted)
- Officers under Central Government, State Governments, or Union Territories:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre
- OR with 6 years of regular service in Level-5 (Rs. 29,200 - 92,300)
- OR with 10 years of regular service in Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 - 81,100)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in administration, establishment, or accounts work.
Senior Draftsman (Group-B, Non-Gazetted)
- Officials serving in equivalent grades in Central/State Government departments.
- OR Holding Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 - 81,100) with 8 years of regular service.
Stenographer Grade-I (Group-B, Non-Gazetted)
- Officers holding the post of Stenographer under Central Government:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis
- OR with 10 years of regular service in Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 - 81,100)
Upper Division Clerk (Group-C, Ministerial)
- Officers under the Central Government:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis
- OR with 8 years of regular service in the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) post (Level-2, Rs. 19,900 - 63,200)
Steps to Apply
- Candidates must submit applications in triplicate along with attested copies of ACR/APAR dossiers (last five years).
- Applications must be sent to the Director General, Forest Survey of India, Dehradun-248195.
- Applications received without ACR/APAR records or incomplete details will not be considered.
- The last date of every month is the cut-off for consideration in the following month.
