Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Project Research Scientist 2025 Job Notification | MBBS, Postgraduate, PhD | Walk-in

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) invites applications for Project Research Scientist-II (Medical) and Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) positions on a temporary contract basis. These roles are available for short-term projects at the Division of Delivery Research, ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi.

As per the ICMR Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with MBBS, BVSc, BDS, Postgraduate (MD, MVSc, MDS, MPH), or PhD qualifications, along with relevant work experience, are eligible to apply.

The selection for the desired posts will be based on merit, determined through a walk-in interview.

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹93,000 plus HRA for Medical posts and ₹78,000 plus HRA for Non-Medical posts, as per project norms.

Eligibility Criteria for ICMR Project Research Scientist-II Posts

• Project Research Scientist-II (Medical): 1 Post
• Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical): 1 Post

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

• Project Research Scientist-II (Medical):
  • MBBS/ BVSc./ BDS with a Postgraduate Degree (MD/ MVSc./ MDS/ MPH) or equivalent with three years of post-qualification experience.
  • MD in Community Medicine or Master’s in Public Health.
  • Expertise in making reports and manuscripts.
  • Knowledge of statistical software (SPSS, STATA, etc.).
  • Experience in data management and analysis.
  • Prior experience in multicentric studies and handling multiple centers.
  • Experience in Implementation Research projects and clinical trials.
  • Strong communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in Public Health, Pediatrics, or Neonatology.
• Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical):
  • Postgraduate Degree (including integrated PG degrees) with five years of post-qualification experience, OR
  • PhD with two years of post-qualification experience.
  • Expertise in data management and data cleaning.
  • Experience in preparing reports and manuscripts.
  • Knowledge of statistical software (SPSS, STATA, etc.).
  • Prior experience in multicentric studies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and workshop organization skills.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in Public Health, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Clinical Anthropology, or Statistics.

Age Limit:

• Maximum 45 years (Relaxation applicable as per ICMR guidelines).
