The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Kolkata, invites applications for the Research Officer position in the field of International Trade & Economics, International Shipping, Maritime Law & Policies, Sectoral Trade Agreements, and International Relations. The appointment will be on a contractual basis.

As per the IIFT Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a Master’s degree in Maritime Law, Economics, Statistics, Shipping, or Maritime Management are eligible to apply. A PhD in a relevant discipline or more than one year of experience is desirable.

The selection process will be based on a test/interview conducted by the selection committee. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified via email regarding further steps.

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated salary of ₹54,000 per month in the first year, ₹60,000 per month in the second year, and ₹66,000 per month in the third year, based on project norms.
