International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, invites applications for three ad-hoc positions of Project Officer - Research (Field) under the project "SAHELI: Study and Action on Hysterectomy: Evidence on Women’s Health through the Life Course in India." The appointments are purely on a temporary basis for a maximum of 3.5 months.

As per the IIPS Notification 2025, candidates with a postgraduate degree in relevant fields are eligible to apply.

The selection for the post will be based on shortlisting followed by an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary between Rs.45,000 - Rs.55,000, depending on qualifications and experience. TA/DA during fieldwork will be provided as per IIPS norms.

Educational Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Population Studies, Demography, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
• At least one peer-reviewed research publication.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in fieldwork management and data collection.
• Prior work related to women’s health research.

Languages Required

• Candidates must be proficient in Gujarati, Telugu, and Hindi/Bihari, depending on their assigned location.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee research and field activities during the entire survey period.
• Coordinate closely with office teams.
• Provide training and technical support to field investigators.
• Monitor field operations, ensure data quality, and prepare field movement plans.
• Seek necessary permissions for data collection.
• Manage logistics and fieldwork-related tasks.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by project coordinators.

Duration of Employment

• Maximum of 3.5 months.

Salary Details

• ₹45,000 - ₹55,000 per month (Consolidated), based on qualifications and experience.
• TA/DA during fieldwork will be provided as per IIPS norms.
