Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) has invited applications from Indian nationals for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I (PA-I) position under a DBT-funded multi-institutional research project.
As per the IISER Bhopal Recruitment 2026 Notification, candidates with B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc. or M.Sc. qualifications can apply for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I (PA-I) posts.

(Hons) and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from a recognized University/Institute and having minimum 60% Marks or CGPA of 7.5 and above at a scale of 10. |
| Preferred Qualification | Having qualified for a national level examination like GATE/CSIR-JRF/NET(JRF)/UGC-JRF/Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship or any other equivalent fellowship in Engineering Sciences/Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Chemical Sciences/allied areas is preferred. |
| Desirable Experience | Having prior knowledge in electrochemistry or work experience in hydrogels/microgel/nanogels is highly desirable. |
| Project-related Experience | The candidate should have some experience in materials science, hydrogel synthesis, and various characterization techniques like SEM, Mechanical testing, UV-Vis, rheological, fertiliser-release studies, and soil property testing. The candidate should have good analytical skills, experiment design, handling of sophisticated equipment, and good English writing skills. |
