The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India. The position is in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and is purely temporary.
As per the IISER Bhopal Recruitment JRF 2025 Notification, candidates with a Postgraduate degree in Geology/Applied Geology/Earth Science/Earth and Environmental Science are eligible to apply. A valid qualification in NET/CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF/GATE/Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship is preferred, though candidates with excellent academic records may also be considered.
The selection will be made based on merit and performance in an online interview. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
The selected candidate will be paid as per the prevailing ANRF norms. The position is initially for 1 year and may be extended based on performance.

Qualified a national-level examination like NET/CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF/GATE/Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship. Candidates without a national-level qualification but with strong academic credentials may also be considered. Desirable: Knowledge of sedimentology, mineralogy, and geochemistry. Field and lab work experience including thin-section preparation, sample processing for heavy mineral analysis, and geochemistry. Good communication skills in English. |
