The Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a CSIR‑funded project titled “Dual BBB and Glioma Targeting Chimeric‑Peptide Decorated‑Anisotropic Gold NanoRoses for Combined Chemo, Photo and RNAi ShRNA Mediated Therapy in Glioblastoma.” The position is purely contractual for a temporary tenure.
As per the INST Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with an M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, or equivalent degrees such as B.S. (4 years), B.Pharm, Integrated BS‑MS, B.E., or B.Tech with at least 55% marks, and who have qualified NET/GATE, are eligible to apply.
The selection process will be based on shortlisting followed by an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed via email; no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of ₹37,000 per month. The initial appointment will be for one year and may be extended based on performance and the availability of funds, up to the project end (total tenure: 3 years).

Educational Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Life Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, or related fields; OR B.S. (4 years) / B.Pharm / Integrated BS‑MS / B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent with minimum 55% marks.
- NET/GATE qualification is mandatory.
- Desirable experience: peptide synthesis, pharmaceutical formulation development, molecular biology, cell culture handling, animal handling, biosensing, drug delivery, and neurobiology.

Salary and Benefits
- Fellowship: ₹37,000 per month (consolidated).
