The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I under the ANRF-SERB-CRG project in the Department of Information Technology. The appointment is purely temporary for a maximum period of three years.

As per the NITK Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a postgraduate or graduate degree in Engineering/Technology are eligible to apply.

The selection process will be based on shortlisting and an interview.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging between ₹30,000 and ₹42,000, plus HRA.

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Associate-I

Educational Qualifications:

Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

• M.E./M.Tech. with First Class and a minimum of 60% or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university/institute.
• Must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET or GATE.

Project Associate-I:

• M.E./M.Tech. or B.E./B.Tech. (with GATE/NET qualification) with First Class and a minimum of 60% or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university/institute.

Desirable Qualification:

• Knowledge in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing.
