National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, an Institute of National Importance under the Government of India, invites applications for the post of Project Lead under the MEITY-sponsored project titled "Capacity Building for Human Resource Development in Unmanned Aircraft System (Drone and Related Technology)." The appointment is purely on a temporary basis.

In accordance with the NIT Silchar Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with M.E./M.Tech in CSE, ECE, EIE, MECH, Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of work experience are eligible to apply.

The selection for the desired post will be based on merit, determined through an interview conducted in online/hybrid mode.

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary of Rs.75000.

The maximum age limit is 35 years as of the closing date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Educational Qualifications:

• Essential:
  • First-class M.E./M.Tech in CSE, ECE, EIE, MECH, Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent from a reputed institute with a minimum of 60% (or 6.5 CGPA).
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in drone-related technology.
• Desirable:
  • Ph.D. with a focus on UAS Development, IoT, Drone Electronics, Machine Learning projects, or related areas.

Selection Process:
