National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NITR) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) 2025 Job Notification | M.Sc | Walk-in

The National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NITR) invites applications for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under the project "Studies on Condition Assessment and Management Plan for Mahanadi River Basin" in the Department of Life Science. The appointment is purely on a contractual basis and co-terminus with the project.

As per the NIT Rourkela Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with an M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biodiversity, Microbiology, Zoology, Biotechnology, Botany, or Aquatic Biology with GATE or NET qualification are eligible to apply.

The selection for the JRF post will be based on a walk-in interview.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 as per the project norms.

Interested and eligible candidates must attend the walk-in interview scheduled for 12-03-2025 at 09:00 AM.

Educational Qualifications:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biodiversity, Microbiology, Zoology, Biotechnology, Botany, Aquatic Biology, or related subjects with 60% marks or 6.50 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
  • Candidates must have qualified GATE or NET (LS) conducted by UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT, or ICAR.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Research experience or knowledge in fieldwork, river ecosystem studies, riparian ecology, biodiversity, and microbiology.
