National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

In the latest job notification, NIFT announces job vacancies for teaching posts on a contract basis, in reference to Advt. No.09/Assistant Professor/Contract/2019.

Under NIFT Assistant Professor Recruitment 2019, candidates completed PG/PH.D. in relevant subjects can apply.

On the basis of Written Test, Presentation and Interview, an applicant for the desired post will be finalized on merit.

The selected candidate will be recruited for a period of 5 years, with salary pay provided as per guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria For NIFT Teaching Posts:

Age limit:

As on the 06-09-2019, Candidate maximum age limit should be 40 years.

An applicant from reserved and special categories, the upper age limit is relaxed as per Govt. guidelines.

Education Qualification:

Post Graduate programme with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant areas as per Annexure-1 from the Institutes of National I International repute with three years' experience {including pre-qualification (post UG degree) experience} in teaching and/or research at university/national and international level institutions in the relevant areas or in relevant industry OR

Doctoral Degree in any of the Competencies as mentioned in Annexure-1, with. one year experience {including pre-qualification (post UG degree) experience} in relevant industry or teaching or research in an Institute or University of national and international repute in the relevant areas.

Selection Process:

On the basis of Written Test, Presentation and Interview.

Candidates have to pay fee of Rs 1000 through online mode.

SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates and employees of NIFT (both regular and on long term contract) are exempted from payment of application fee.
