The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contractual basis. The appointment is for a temporary tenure under the project "Development of low-cost nutritious protein-rich traditional food products from underutilized linseed crop."

As per the NIFTEM Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food and Nutrition, Food Science and Technology and Management, Food Processing, Food Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Public Health, and other allied sciences from a recognized university are eligible to apply.

The selection for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post will be based on merit, determined through an interview.

The selected candidate will receive a monthly stipend of ₹31,000 plus 8% HRA, as per project norms.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in oil and protein extraction from oilseeds.

Age Limit:

• Maximum 35 years (Relaxation of 5 years for Women/SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled candidates as per Government of India rules).
