Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) Project Associate II 2025 Job Notification | Graduate Degree/PG | Walk-in

The Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum, invites applications for the Project Associate II position under the DST–SEED funded project titled “Development of Pedicle Screw-based Dynamic Stabilization Systems for Degenerative Disease of Lumbosacral Spine.” The appointment is purely on a temporary basis.

As per the SCTIMST Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a Graduate Degree in Bio-Medical, Clinical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering and relevant research experience are eligible to apply.

The selection for the post will be conducted through a walk-in interview.

The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of ₹35,000 plus 18% HRA for candidates fulfilling National Eligibility criteria, and ₹28,000 plus 18% HRA for others.

Interested and eligible candidates must appear for the walk-in interview on 04-03-2025 at 10:30 AM, with the required documents. Reporting time is 09:30 AM.

Eligibility Criteria for SCTIMST Project Associate II Post:

Total Vacancies:

• 1 (ST Backlog) (In the absence of eligible ST candidates, SC candidates will be considered, followed by OBC, and then UR.)

Name of the Post:

• Project Associate II – 1 Post

Educational Qualifications:

• Essential:

  • Graduate degree in Bio-Medical / Clinical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering
  • Qualified in a National Eligibility Test such as GATE, UGC-CSIR-NET, or selected under a National Level Exam conducted by agencies like DST, DBT, ICMR, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, IIT, IISc, IISER, SCTIMST, etc.

• Desirable:

  • Postgraduate degree in Bio-Medical / Clinical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering

Experience:

• Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in research and development in industrial/academic institutions or Science & Technology organizations.

• Desirable:

  • Experience in concept modeling using CAD software, FEA simulation, concept design, mechanical device testing, and evaluation.
