Key Skills:

1. Oracle architecture understanding and database administration.

2. Oracle software installation, upgrades, patching, database creation & configuration.

3. User managed & RMAN backup, Restore and recovery

4. Database performance troubleshooting and fix

5. Dataguard administration & configurations

6. Oracle Goldengate tool for data replication across databases (single/bi-directional)

7. Oracle multi-instance (RAC) installation, configuration & administration

8. Should have very good understanding of Oracle database security (users, profiles, privs, roles etc)

9. VLDB Database migration experience with TTS, DR build, RMAN restore, BCV backup etc.

10. Unix experience is must and has good understanding of shell scripting.

11. Any other RDBMS (MySQL, SQL server, Sybase, DB2, Informix, MongoDB etc) experience would be an added advantage.

12. Oracle exadata experience/knowledge would be an added advantage.
