The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Tuljapur Off-Campus, invites applications for five Assistant Professor positions in disciplines including Sociology, Social Work, Entrepreneurship/Management, and Statistics/Social Sciences. The posts are purely on a contractual basis for a period of one year at the School of Rural Development.

As per the TISS Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a Master's degree in the respective discipline with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible to apply. Candidates must also meet NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. exemption criteria as per UGC norms. Desirable qualifications include teaching experience and relevant research publications.

The selection will be based on an offline interview. Eligible candidates will be notified via email with further details.

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹75,000.

Educational Qualifications

Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the respective discipline:

• Sociology
• Social Work
• Entrepreneurship/Management-related fields (e.g., Business Management, Innovation, Finance)
• Statistics/Social Sciences/Population Studies/Demography

Additional Eligibility (Any one):

• NET/SLET/SET qualification
• Ph.D. in accordance with UGC 2009/2016 Regulations or from a top 500 ranked international university (QS/THE/ARWU)

Desirable Qualifications

• Teaching experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level
• Research publications
• Experience in fieldwork supervision (especially for Social Work and Management)
• For Statistics/Social Sciences: Experience in teaching quantitative research methods
