ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI) Senior Research Fellow (SRF) 2025 Job Notification | Master's Degree/Bachelor's Degree | Walk-in

The ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), Division of Genetics, New Delhi, invites applications for the Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position under the ICAR-funded project "Consortia for Research Platform (CRP) on Hybrid Technology for Higher Productivity in Selected Field and Horticultural Crops – Mustard." The appointment is purely on a contractual basis.

As per the IARI Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a Master's degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics & Plant Breeding, or Biotechnology are eligible to apply. Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor's degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or a Ph.D. in the relevant field.

The selection for the SRF position will be based on merit, determined through an interview.

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹31,000 + 24% HRA or ₹35,000 + 24% HRA, as per ICAR norms.

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics & Plant Breeding, or Biotechnology with a 4/5-year Bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in hybrid breeding.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.

• Age relaxation:
  • 5 years for SC/ST/Women candidates
  • 3 years for OBC candidates
