Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI) Senior Research Fellow (SRF) 2025 Job Notification | Postgraduate Degree | Walk-in

ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Regional Station, Pune is conducting a walk-in interview to engage a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) on a contractual basis under the ICAR-funded CRP on Hybrid Technology (Cotton) project.

As per the IARI Recruitment 2025 Job Notification, candidates with a Postgraduate degree are eligible to attend the walk-in interview.

The selection will be based on performance in the walk-in interview and verification of original documents.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹37,000 plus 30% HRA, as per the notification.

Educational Qualifications

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Essential Qualification:

• Master’s degree in Vegetable Science / Horticulture / Genetics / Plant Breeding / Plant Pathology / Entomology or other relevant agricultural sciences with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or allied subjects, OR
• Master’s degree in the above disciplines with a 3-year Bachelor’s degree, along with UGC/ICAR-NET qualification or equivalent, and at least 2 years of research experience in the relevant field.
• Working knowledge and proficiency in computer applications.

Desirable:

• Experience in hybrid seed production in vegetable crops and field-based research activities, as mentioned in the notification.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for the Senior Research Fellow (SRF) post is 35 years.

Age relaxation is applicable as follows, as per Government of India/ICAR rules:

• 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and for women candidates.
• 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC category.

Salary Details

The selected Senior Research Fellow (SRF) will receive a consolidated emolument of ₹37,000 per month plus 30% HRA, as per ICAR project norms.

The engagement is purely on a temporary and contractual basis for the duration of the project.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of a walk-in interview followed by verification of original certificates and other supporting documents.

Steps to Apply

1. Visit the official website of ICAR-IARI and download the prescribed application form for the SRF post from the Regional Station notification section.
2. Carefully read the complete notification and ensure that you meet the required educational qualifications, age limit, and other eligibility conditions.
3. Fill in the application form in block letters, providing accurate personal details, educational qualifications, and research experience as required.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all relevant documents, including certificates and mark sheets of 10th, 12th, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, NET (if applicable), experience certificates, and valid caste/category certificates (for reserved categories).
5. Affix recent passport-size photographs in the spaces provided in the application form.
6. If currently employed, obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your present employer and carry it to the interview.
7. Report in person at ICAR-IARI, Regional Station, Baner Phata, Aundh, Pune-411067 on the scheduled date with the duly filled application form, supporting documents, and original certificates for verification.
8. Register your candidature at the venue between 09:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the date of the walk-in interview, as registration after this time will not be allowed.
