Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position under the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored project in the Department of Textile & Fibre Engineering. The appointment is contractual, renewable yearly, or up to the duration of the project.

As per the IITD Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a B.Tech in relevant fields are eligible to apply.

The selection will be based on shortlisting followed by a walk-in interview. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs.42,000 plus HRA (27%), as per project norms.

Interested and eligible candidates must appear for the walk-in interview on 27-02-2025.

Educational Qualifications

• B.Tech in Textile Engineering with a valid NET/GATE qualification.
• Candidates from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of 8.0 (80% aggregate marks) may be exempted from the NET/GATE requirement.

Experience Requirement

• At least 2 years of research experience in polymer processing, characterization, or polymer-nanocomposite coatings.

Project Details

• Project Title: "Development of Multifunctional Graphene Incorporated High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE) or High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Fibres by an Alternative Melt Route".
• Sponsoring Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).
• Project Duration: Up to 30-06-2025.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Monthly consolidated pay of ₹42,000 plus HRA at 27%.
