The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), invites applications for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under a sponsored research project at the Centre for Photonics and Quantum Communication Technology. The appointment is purely on a contractual basis.

As per the IIT Roorkee Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with an M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Photonics, Optoelectronics, or M.Sc. in Physics with GATE/NET qualification are eligible to apply.

The selection for the JRF post will be based on merit, determined through an online interview.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹37,000, plus HRA as per project norms.

• Perform simulations and experiments on photonic metasurface design, optimization, fabrication, and applications in alignment with project objectives.
