The Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), an autonomous research institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, invites applications for the position of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a DBT-funded research project. The appointment is purely on a contractual basis.

As per the INST Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a Postgraduate Degree in Biotechnology or Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, or a Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course with National Eligibility Tests like CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply.

The selection for the Junior Research Fellow post will be based on merit, determined through an interview process.

The selected candidate will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹31,000 plus HRA as per project norms.

Educational Qualifications:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate Degree in Biotechnology / Nanoscience and Nanotechnology
  • Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through:
    1. National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE
    2. National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and Agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience in molecular biology, immunology, and nanobiotechnology.

Age Limit:

• Must not be over 28 years as of 20-02-2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.
