The Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Mangaluru, invites applications for the position of Bank's Medical Officer (BMO) on a contract basis with fixed hourly remuneration for the dispensary at NABARD’s Main Office Building/Quarters in Mangaluru, Karnataka. The appointment is purely contractual.

As per the NABARD Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with an MBBS degree in the allopathic system of medicine and at least two years of experience in any hospital or clinic are eligible to apply. Postgraduates in General Medicine can also apply.

The selection process will be based on an interview conducted by BIRD, Mangaluru. The bank reserves the right to raise eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for interviews.

The selected candidates will receive an hourly remuneration of ₹1,000 per hour for the first three years and ₹1,200 per hour upon completion of three years of contractual service. An additional ₹1,000 per month will be provided as reimbursement for mobile expenses.

Educational Qualifications

• Essential Qualification:
  • MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a medical practitioner in a hospital or clinic.
• Desirable Qualification:
  • Postgraduate degree in General Medicine.

Age Limit

The maximum age for engagement is 70 years, with possible renewal up to 75 years on an annual basis based on performance and medical fitness.
