The ICMR-National Institute for Research in Environmental Health (ICMR-NIREH), Bhopal, invites applications for Junior Research Fellow, Project Associate-II, Project Technical Support-II, and Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) positions under various time-bound research projects. The appointments are purely on a temporary contractual basis.

As per the NIREH Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with qualifications in Graduate/Postgraduate Degree/Master's Degree/MVSc/Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields are eligible to apply.

The selection will be based on shortlisting followed by an interview conducted via Walk-In-Interview or Video Conferencing.

The selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary as per project norms.

Eligibility Criteria for ICMR-NIREH Project Positions

Name of the Posts:

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 Post (ST)
• Project Associate-II – 1 Post (UR)
• Project Technical Support-II – 1 Post (UR)
• Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) – 1 Post (OBC)

Educational Qualifications

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Essential Qualifications:

• Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course, selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET, GATE) or National Level Examinations conducted by Government Institutions.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Candidates with degrees in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering will be preferred.
• Experience in scientific and analytical laboratory procedures, adsorption, and chromatographic studies.
• Understanding of scientific manuscript writing.

Project Associate-II

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, MVSc OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine with two years of relevant research experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in mammalian cell culture, animal experiments, and molecular biology techniques.

Project Technical Support-II

Essential Qualifications:

• Three years Graduate Degree in a relevant subject/field with three years of post-qualification experience OR
• Postgraduate Degree in a relevant subject/field.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Preference for candidates with degrees in Biostatistics, Environmental Science, or Public Health.

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

Essential Qualifications:

• Postgraduate Degree, including Integrated PG Degrees.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Preference for candidates with research experience in Environmental Health, Public Health, or Epidemiology.
• Strong knowledge of data management and biostatistics.
• Good communication and managerial skills.
