Oil India Limited (OIL), a leading public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India, invites applications for Domain Expert (Fishing Operations) on a contractual basis. The engagement will be on-call duty for a period of two years.
As per the OIL Indian Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with at least 25 years of experience in Drilling/Workover operations, including 20 years in Fishing Operations, are eligible to apply.
The selection process will be based on shortlisting and an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further selection rounds.
The selected candidates will receive a daily honorarium between ₹8,000 to ₹10,000, depending on experience and designation.

Educational Qualifications
- Graduate in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an institute of national or international repute.
Experience Requirement
- Must have retired from at least Grade G (General Manager) or equivalent from OIL or any PSU engaged in E&P activities under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in field operations, which includes:
- At least 5 years in Drilling/Workover operations.
- At least 20 years in Fishing Operations.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 65 years as of the last date of application submission.
- The empaneled expert will be removed from the panel upon reaching the age limit.
Remuneration & Allowances

| Two levels below Board (CGM/GGM/GMs / Professor or equivalent) | 9,000 per day |
| Three levels below Board (GMs / Associate Professors or equivalent) | 9,000 per day |
| Four levels below Board (DGMs / Assistant Professors or equivalent) | 8,000 per day |
- Travel, local conveyance, and lodging will be arranged as per the executive entitlements in OIL.
- No expenditure on residential office and communication facilities will be borne by OIL.
Work Location
- Drilling/Workover locations operated from Field Headquarter, Duliajan, Assam.
- The candidate may be required to travel to other locations in India as per job requirements.
