The University of Hyderabad (UoH), School of Chemistry, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-1 under a research project funded by the DST (SERB). The appointment is purely on a contractual basis.

As per the UoH Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with B.Sc and M.Sc with at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA from a recognized university are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to those with research experience and who have qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC NET(LS), or other national-level exams.

The selection for the JRF / Project Associate-1 post will be based on merit, determined through an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging between ₹25,000 and ₹31,000, plus 24% HRA.

Educational Qualifications

• Essential Qualification:
  • B.Sc (Chemistry) and M.Sc (Chemistry) with at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI or CGPA from a recognized institute/university.
• Desirable Qualification:
  • Preference will be given to candidates with research experience.
  • Candidates who have qualified GATE, CSIR-UGC NET(LS), or any other national-level examinations of Government Departments/Institutes.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 28 years.

Job Description

• Assist in carrying out various research activities under the project.
• Complete project objectives and deliverables within the scheduled time.
• The selected candidate will have the option to register for a Ph.D. at UoH, subject to fulfilling admission criteria.

Project & Employment Duration

• Total Project Duration: 3 years (currently 2 years remaining).
• Initial appointment for 1 year, extendable based on performance and project requirements.
