ICAR - Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) Research Associate, IT Professional, SRF & Other Posts 2025 Job Notification | Ph.D., Master's, Bachelor's Degree | Walk-in

The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, New Delhi, is inviting applications for Research Associate (RA), IT Professional-IV, Senior Research Fellow (SRF), Young Professional-I (YP-I), and Office-Cum-Lab Assistant (OLA) positions. These appointments are purely on a contractual basis under the FASAL 2.0 project funded by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and the KRISHI Project of ICAR.

As per the IARI Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with qualifications such as Ph.D., Master’s degree, or Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines are eligible to apply.

The selection for the desired posts will be based on merit, determined through an interview.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging between ₹25,000 and ₹67,000, plus HRA.

• Research Associate (RA) – Geospatial Crop Modelling: 2 Posts
• IT Professional IV (Full-Stack Developer): 1 Post
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): 3 Posts
• Young Professional-I (YP-I): 1 Post
• Office-Cum-Lab Assistant (OLA): 1 Post

Educational Qualifications

Research Associate (RA) – Geospatial Crop Modelling

• Ph.D. in Agricultural Physics/Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Engineering/Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing & GIS/Data Science/Civil Engineering/Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology or equivalent.
• OR
• Master’s degree in the above fields with a 4/5-year Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant research experience.

IT Professional IV (Full-Stack Developer)

• B.Tech. in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology or equivalent with at least six years of experience.
• OR
• MCA/M.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology/Data Science or equivalent with at least three years of experience.
• OR
• Ph.D. in Computer Science/Information Technology/Data Science or equivalent.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• Master’s degree in Agricultural Physics/Agricultural Meteorology/Agricultural Engineering/Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing & GIS/Environmental Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology/Civil Engineering/Electronics or equivalent.
• Candidates with a 3-year Bachelor's degree must have a NET/GATE qualification and two years of relevant research experience.

Young Professional-I (YP-I)

• Bachelor's degree from any recognized university and a certificate in computing (at least one year).

Office-Cum-Lab Assistant (OLA)

• Bachelor's degree from any recognized university.

Age Limits

• Research Associate (RA): Maximum 40 years for men; 45 years for women.
• IT Professional IV: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 45 years.
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Maximum 35 years for men; 40 years for women.
• Young Professional-I (YP-I): Maximum 40 years for men; 45 years for women.
• Office-Cum-Lab Assistant (OLA): Maximum 40 years for men; 45 years for women.
• Relaxation in upper age limit: SC/ST - 5 years, OBC - 3 years, PwD - 10 years as per GoI/ICAR rules.
