The ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI), Regional Station, Pune, invites applications for the post of Young Professional-II (YP-II) under an externally funded ICAR project "All India Network Project on Emerging Pests (AINP-EP)." The appointment is purely on a contractual basis.

As per the IARI Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a Master’s degree in Plant Pathology, Virology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, or Life Sciences are eligible to apply.

The selection for the Young Professional-II post will be based on a walk-in interview.

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹42,000.

Interested and eligible candidates must appear for the walk-in interview on 12-03-2025 at 9:30 AM.

Educational Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Plant Pathology, Virology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Botany, or Life Sciences with a 4/5-year Bachelor's degree.
• Candidates with a Postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with a 3-year Bachelor's degree and 2-year Master's degree should have NET/GATE qualifications and 2 years of research experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Research experience in Plant Virology, Molecular Plant Pathology, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, bioinformatics, and NGS data analysis.
• High-quality publications in SCI journals.
• Higher degree and relevant research experience.

Age Limit:

• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • 5 years for SC/ST/Women candidates
  • 3 years for OBC candidates

2. Carry two copies of the duly filled application form (Annexure-I & II).
3. Bring two passport-sized photographs and one set of self-attested copies of relevant documents (educational qualifications, experience certificates, etc.).
4. Present the original documents for verification.
5. If employed, submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer.
