Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, Department of Civil Engineering, invites applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under the ISRO RESPOND scheme-funded project titled "Big Geospatial Data Analysis for Climate Change with Special Emphasis on Land Use/Land Cover Dynamics in Western Rajasthan." The positions are purely temporary.

In accordance with the IIT Indore Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with M.E./M.Tech in Water Resources Engineering, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Hydrology, Agricultural Engineering, or allied fields are eligible to apply.

The selection for the desired posts will be based on merit, determined through an online interview.

The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging between Rs.37000 + HRA, as per norms.

Educational Qualifications:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • M.E./M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Hydrology, Agricultural Engineering, or allied fields.
  • GATE qualification in Geomatics Engineering (GE), Civil Engineering (CE), Agricultural Engineering (AG), or equivalent.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with Remote Sensing and GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, or ERDAS.
  • Proficiency in programming (MATLAB/Python/R).
  • Fundamentals of hydrology and handling large geospatial and climatic datasets.

Based on shortlisting and online interviews. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email.
