Role Infirmation:
- Work in SAP’s engineering and architecture team that owns 24x7 delivery of the business critical HEC network infrastructure and continuously improves SAP’s ability to design, build and run the HANA Enterprise Cloud platform
- Design, configure and operate cloud network services using Cisco & Arista network technologies (switching&routing)
- Configure and troubleshoot network technologies like BGP, HSRP, VRRP, Routing Domains, VLANs, VxLAN, VRF
- Design & implement network infrastructure automation (Ansible, AWX and Python)
- Implement network telemetry data using CA Spectrum, Splunk, CA PC
- Work in a global team of network engineers and cloud developers, maintaining & ensuring operational stability
- Design, deploy and operate SAP's Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform which runs in 7 regions and 19 DCs around the world
- Be part of an effective collaboration model, bringing together various teams and units that design, build and run core components of the HEC Infrastructure Platform
- Engage with a broad range of suppliers, in- and external stakeholders and other groups and teams, owning the end-to-end operating model of HEC network operations
Role Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of cloud network infrastructure, operations and enterprise networking gear (Arista and Cisco technology)
- Strong technical skills in BGP, MPLS, VPNV4, VXLAN EVPN
- 5+ years of experience in network automation & telemetry
- Preferred: Degree in applied sciences in Computer Science or related fields
- Excellent abstract problem-solving skills, high level of commitment and reliability, good communication skills & agile methodologies
- Willingness to work rotating on-call shifts 8x5 on weekdays and 24h weekends, including holidays
- Track record of running a global, large-scale, business-critical cloud platform
- Ability to coach, mentor and develop cutting-edge technical talent, both junior and senior, with global exposur
