Job Description:

• The DB2 Database Administrator for z/OS would need to have at least 6+ years of experience. In this role, you will be the DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) for Mainframe applications.
• Candidate must have exp in (on-line and Batch) environment.
• As the DBA, you will conduct performance monitoring and tuning activities, backup and recovery as well as troubleshooting applications on DB2 databases.
• Based on applications' requirements perform all changes to DB2 databases in Test and Production environments.
• Implement and maintain Database backup and recovery strategy.
• Knowledge in  DBID, OBID, PSID
• Strong Knowledge on DB2 Utilities Online/Stand-alone.
• Experience in database forward recovery, PIT recovery & building indexes. Backout method
• Provide Production support on-call 7x24.
• Provide troubleshooting and problem determination during outage or daily issues.
• Monitor space utilization.
• Assist with testing and validation of database version upgrades (DB2 V11/V12).
• Administration of databases throughout the development and production lifecycles.
• Involve in Audit activities and produce formatted reports
• Involve in DR excercise
• Excellent Communication Skills.
