The Institute of Nano Science & Technology (INST), an autonomous research institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, invites applications for the Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) position under an ICMR-funded project. The appointment is purely on a temporary basis.

As per the INST Recruitment 2025 Notification, candidates with a First-Class Postgraduate Degree or a Second-Class Postgraduate Degree with a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Biology, Biophysics, BioSciences, Chemical Biology, Bioinformatics, or related areas are eligible to apply.

The selection for the desired post will be based on merit, determined through an interview conducted in a hybrid mode (Online/Offline).

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹56,000 plus 20% HRA, as per the project norms.

Educational Qualifications:

• Essential Qualifications:
  • First-Class Postgraduate Degree (including Integrated PG) in Computational Chemistry/Biology, Biophysics, BioSciences, Chemical Biology, Bioinformatics, or related areas.
  • OR Second-Class Postgraduate Degree (including Integrated PG) with Ph.D. in relevant fields.
• Desirable Qualifications:
  • Research experience in Computational Biology, Chemistry, and Bioinformatics.
  • Knowledge of Molecular Dynamics Simulations, Python programming, big data handling, Data Analysis, and Density Functional Theory (DFT).

Age Limit:

• Candidates must not be over 35 years as of 03-03-2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.
