Job Description:

Must have: 

• Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Cognos.
• Creating, enhancing and maintaining Framework Manager models to support business requirements
• Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
• Working with business users to design and develop Cognos BI reports using Report Studio with data drill-down and slice-and-dice options
• Develop and implement test plans to ensure successful delivery of a project
• Reviewing and improving existing systems and collaborating with teams to integrate new systems.
• Design and develop complicated reports including sub-reports, graphical reports and well-formatted reports according to user requirements.
• Define and follow Cognos development best practices
• Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
• Should have good understanding on Cognos role and manage the users and groups, create projects to organize content on the site, assign permissions to allow users (groups) to access the content.
• Manage report security, folder security, database row level security, report schedules and distribution
• Good communication skills - both oral and written

Should have:

• Engage and develop relationships with key partners and stakeholders to clearly understand the specific business &/or technology challenges, initiatives, and questions to be answered

Good to have:

• Nice to have experience in SQL. 
• Nice to have experience in any Cloud-based technologies.
