Role:

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement and configure Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery purposes.
• Perform regular database backups, restoration, and recovery using RMAN.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and improve database performance.
• Create and maintain database documentation, including backup and recovery procedures.
• Implement and maintain database security policies and access controls.
• Handle database migrations, upgrades, and patching
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployments and system integrations.
• Participate in database-related emergencies.

Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN).
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Data Guard setup and management.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting for automating database tasks.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, data modelling, and schema design.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
• Familiarity with PL/SQL is a plus (Willingness to learn if no prior experience).
• Ability to troubleshoot database performance issues and implement performance tuning.
• Experience in database migration, upgrades, and patching.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Oracle certifications (e.g., OCP) are a plus but not mandatory.
